He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Hiatt, Debra Bennerhahn (Jeff Bennerhahn) of Coralville and Dianne Benner Byrn (Rick Byrn) of Williamsburg; his sisters, LaMorne Wiest of Canby and Mavis Benner Johnson of Watertown; his grandchildren, Levi Wenman, Tori Wenman, Toni Wenman, Owen Bennerhahn, Mary Ellen Bennerhahn and Danielle Byrn; and his close friend Evie O'Kelly of Iowa City. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
