He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Hodson and Hazel Hodson; and his siblings, John (Diann) and Georgene. He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his son Lee; his granddaughters, Avery and Hadley Hodson; his sister Joan; his brother-in-law James Weinberger; his brother Jerry; his sister-in-law Beverly Hodson; his brother Neil; his sisters-in-law, Sue Hodson and Becky Havel (Dale); and also Jennifer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (214 E Jefferson St, Iowa City, IA 52245). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Oakwood Cemetery.
