She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Alwine and Alice Alwine (McMillan); her husband Eugene Brown; her son Gary; her stepmother Ruth Lorack; her brother Kenneth Alwine; and her brother-in-law George Alt.
She is survived by: her children, Becky Crooks (Dave) and Rick Brown (Pam); her grandson Garrison Brown (Hannah); her great grandchildren, Isaac and Aidan; her siblings, Daryle Alwine (Pauline) and Donna Alt; and her sister-in-law Rochelle Alwine. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Coralville Public Library, St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City or Friends of the Animal Center Foundation.
