He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens Olsen and Grace Olsen (Follmer); his wife Roberta Kalm; his children, Glee Olsen Oliver and David Olsen; and his siblings, Donald Olsen and Dorthea Odekirk.
He is survived by: his children, Mathew Olsen (Luann) and Alice Olsen; his grandsons, Peter Olsen and Tom Olsen (Kell); his great grandchildren, Eloise Olsen, Clyde Olsen and Sylvia Olsen; and his sister Marie Eisenman.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service (2720 Muscatine Ave, Iowa City, IA 52240).
