With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ronald Eugene Hanson of Coralville, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 1, 2025 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ronald Eugene Hanson to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Hanson and Elvina Hanson (Peterson); his siblings, LeRoy, Burnell Geving and June Geving; and his siblings-in-law, Donna, Yvonne Geving and Ray Long.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his children, Elizabeth Austin (Dana), Jeffrey Hanson, Jennifer Mertuka (Gene) and Paul (Yumi Ahn); his grandchildren, Megan, Jordan (Tague), Kristin (Kyle), Julian, Nicolas and Isabel; and his sister Beverly Long.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church - Iowa City (310 N Johnson St, Iowa City, IA 52245).
