She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Dewey Walter and Gladys Lucinda Walter (Pond); her husband Terry Helvie; her siblings, Mary Rowe, Darlene Brees, Harold Walter and Glen Walter; her nephew Steve Walter; and her great-nephew Jesse Vetter.
She is survived by: her children, Sherry Keefe (Nick) of Corning and Lenny Helvie of Corning; her sister Carolyn; her brother-in-law Merlin Dixon of Corning; her grandchildren, Darien Robison (Brandon) of Corning, Chloe Thompson (David) of Creston and Roman Keefe of Ankeny; and her great grandchildren, Ellie Thompson and Ivy Thompson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
