He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward John Nelson Sr. and Grace Loretta Nelson (Barrett); and his sisters, Peggy and LaVerna. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn; his daughters, Colleen Barber (Ray) and Kristina Swank (Matt); his grandchildren, Dalton Kleindienst, Michael Kleindienst, Laura Swank, Sara Swank and Dylan Swank; and his brother Robert Nelson. He is also survived by other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at 2391 Washington St, Corning, IA 50841.
