He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Walter and Rose Walter; his wife Sharon Walter; his daughter Jodi Walter; his great grandchild Harrison Walter; his siblings, Richard Walter and Connie Sheets; his siblings-in-law, Tim Sheets, Paul Wynn, Sewell Hunter, Sharen Walter and Jackie Wynn; and his in-laws, Woody and Dorothy Wynn.
He is survived by: his children, Denise (Larry Kester) of Corning and Doug (Terri Walter) of Kearney, Missouri; his grandchildren, Bret Kester (Kristy), Brennan Kester (Sam), Curtis Kester, Kami DeAlejandro (Sam), Heath Walter (Nicole) and Hayden Walter; his great grandchildren, Kasen, Kinlee, Sophia, Evelyn, Nora Kester, Mason, Maddie Walter, Seth, Ethan and Daxton DeAlejando; his siblings, Carol Hunter, Lometa Spring (Reldon) and Eldon Walter (Cindy); his siblings-in-law, Kevin Wynn (Joedy) and Sandy Krauth (Gary); and also Jouni Eskola (Nelli) of Finland. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
