He was predeceased by: his parents, Junior Hunwardsen and Betty Hunwardsen (Ashmore); his wife Sharon Hunwardsen (Perkins); his son Scott Hunwardsen; his parents-in-law, Gerald and Lucille Perkins; and his brothers-in-law, Al Meyer (Wiggs), Doug Thompson and Gary Caskey.
He is survived by: his son Shane Hunwardsen (Amber); his daughter-in-law Kathy Hunwardsen; his grandchildren, Brittany (Andrew Volkert), Ashley (Seth Schumacher), Brooke (AJ Nitzschke) and Tyler; his great grandchild Nash; his sisters, Vicki Meyer and Pat Meister (Dan); his sisters-in-law, Shirley Thompson and Mary Caskey; and his close friend Kathy Goodwin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
