He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Raymond and Olive Virginia Nickell (Rogers); his daughter Rhonda Sue Nickell-Taylor; and his sisters, Virginia Gaylord and Marilyn Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Lavonne Nickell of Corydon; his son Mike Nickell (Cheyanne) of Humeston, Iowa; his grandchildren, Natalie Nickell (Jace Pipes), Logan Nickell, Colton Nickell, Luke Arnold, Jamie Arnold and Scarlett Lochmann; and his sister Sharon "George" Anderson of Corydon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
