With profound sadness, we say goodbye to John E. Sellers Jr. of Corydon, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. John left this world on September 21, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sellers and Harriett Sellers; his sister Susan Porter; his wives, Jean (Collins) and Susan; and his son Travis.
He is survived by: his son Charles Sellers (Erika) of Grimes; his daughter-in-law Christina Sellers of Kirbyville, MO; his grandchildren, Chelse Hartley (Bryce), Jordan Sellers (Kenzie) and Taylor Shackelford (Jacob); his great grandchildren, Hudson Sellers, Brylee Hartley, Luke Sellers and Charlee Hartley; his brother Patrick Sellers (Kristi); and his close friend Kathy Showers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home-Corydon (303 E Jefferson St, Corydon, IA 50060). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial gifts may be directed to the Wayne County SWCD Booster Club, which supports conservation education and scholarships for local students.
