It is with sadness that the passing of Carol Jean LeRette (Council Bluffs, Iowa) is shared. Carol, born on December 22, 1942, passed away on October 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Reed and Iva Reed (Harris); her siblings, Anna Louise Kerne, JoEllen Cook and Robert Reed; and her close friend Nancy Earlywine.
She is survived by: her husband Donald LeRette; her daughters, Joni LeRette-Flores (Dan), Donna Dannar (Jeff) and Lisa LeRette; her sister Janice Pinneo; her grandchildren, Jason Barlow (Kristine), Jordan Hofer (Darin) and Steven Elonich (Alexa); her great grandchildren, Tripp Hofer and Archer Hofer; and her close friends, Pam Golden, Kathy Oltmanns and Renee Marchese. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Refuge Church, Midlands Humane Society, or the Nebraska Humane Society.
