It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carolyn J. Ruby of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on August 17, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul F. Ramsey and Illa C. Ramsey (Jacoba); her husband Robert L. Ruby; her children, Paul Ruby, Robert Ruby, Jr. (Sherry), Peggy DeSantiago (George) and Tammy Yochum; her great grandchild Jonathan Ruby; and her siblings, Mary Ellen Ramsey, Illa Jarrard, Marjorie Cross, Shirley Hiers and Paul T. Ramsey.
She is survived by: her children, Carolyn J. "Kitty" Sharearm (Eddie), Al Ruby (Cindy), Kelly Ruby (Pam) and William Ruby (Sue); and her son-in-law Joseph Yochum. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren.
Interment Memorial Park Cemetery with a lunch following at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. The family will direct memorial contributions.
