He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Nelson and Elizabeth Nelson; and his brothers, Donald, Larry and Richard Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his daughters, Diahn Hiebner (Steward), Karen Selander (Jon) and Beth Beck (Chad); and his grandchildren, Jordan Hiebner (Megan), Justine Anderson (Jordan), Emily Rathke (Luke), Kaylin Wymore (Levi), Jason Hiebner (Anna), Audrey Selander, Avery and Wade Beck. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
