It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean Thomas Pedersen of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on October 1, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Pedersen and Wilma Pedersen (Drury); his grandson Benjamin; and his brothers, Leonard and Keith Pederson.
He is survived by: his wife Kiyoko Pedersen; his children, Bradley Pedersen (Melissa) and Brenda Harwood (David); his grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Michelle, Elizabeth, Michaela, Tiffany, Arianna and Jazlyn; and his stepchildren, James, Kimberly, Jennifer and Merle. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church or the American Legion Post #2.
