With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Delanie Eley in Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Salt Lake City, Utah, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Bigelow and Sharon Bigelow (Hyde); her brother Terrence Bigelow; and her aunts, Carolyn Hyde and Eileen Hyde.
She is survived by: her children, Britney James Welch, Kellie Thiessen (James Dejarnett), Abe Thiessen (Shanna) and Jennie Diane Halpin; her grandchildren, Sierrah Angerman, Gavyn Angerman, Drake Angerman, Ahmara Angerman, Shyanne Thiessen, Dakota Thiessen, Savannah Thiessen, Genaveave Halpin (Genna), Richard Halpin (R. J.), Mercedes Hughes, Josiah DeJarnett and Joshua DeJarnett (Kourtney); her great grandchildren, Ziamara Thiessen, Giavana Thiessen, Scarlett Dunn, Matthew DeJarnett, Mikhail DeJarnett and Kylo DeJarnett; her siblings, Alfred "Chuck" Bigelow (Jennifer), Valarie Evans (Gordon), Henry Bigelow (Schillene), Stephanie Hickman (Jay), Barry Bigelow (Desiree) and Tamarie Bigelow; and her half-brother Stephan Lee. She is also survived by extended family consisting of many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to local homeless shelters and food banks.
