Donald Sorensen Obituary

We bid farewell to Donald Sorensen (Council Bluffs, Iowa), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on August 15, 2025 at the age of 94. Donald touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jens Sorensen and Nina Sorensen (Lansman); his brother Merlin Sorensen; his son-in-law Randy Donahue; and his sisters-in-law, Ethel Sorensen and Peggy Sorensen.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Sorensen; his children, Kathy Donahue, Luanne Tiarks (Bruce), Randy Sorensen (Linda) and Curtis Sorensen (Jan); his siblings, Verdon Sorensen (Lee) and Ethan Sorensen; and his grandchildren, Jamie Justesen (Adam), Justin Tiarks (Brigitte), Lindee Stanek (Kyle), Jordan Tiarks (Danielle), Eric Sorensen, Brittni Hall (Andrew), Alec Sorensen (Aubrey) and Addison Sorensen. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
