It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna J. Emick (Council Bluffs, Iowa), who passed away on September 18, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton Novotny and Eleanor Novotny; her sister-in-law Rose Novotny; and her step-daughter Claire Emick. She is survived by : her husband Tom Emick; her brother Tony Novotny (Sandy); and her daughters, Vicki Goos (Greg), Rita Schroeder (Leslie Atkinson), Nancy Vacanti (Paul), Jean Schroeder (Don Seidholz) and Sandra Schroeder. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2023 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
