With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doug Lett of Council Bluffs, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth, Sr. Lett and Margaret Lett (Greene); his brother Kenneth Lett, Jr. (Shirley); his brothers-in-law, Jimmy Zumwalt and Larry Gerner; and his niece Elyse Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie; his sons, David Lett (Pam), Ronald Lett and Donald Lett; his grandson Hayden Lett; and his siblings, Howard Lett (Peggy), Evelyn Zumwalt, Teresa Gerner and Denise Miller (Chub).
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
