We announce the death of John A. Hollinger of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 74. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Hollinger and Dorothy Hollinger (Marr); his siblings, Dorothy, Barbara, Fred, Charles, Jimmy, Terry and Bobby; and his stepbrother Bill Hack.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hollinger; his children, Judy Nelson (Stephen), Julie Jordan (Shane) and John Hollinger (Kaysha) of Council Bluffs; his grandchildren, Erin, Shannon, Cole, Sean, Jalen and Marley; his great grandchildren, Sophie, Jayden, William and Ivin; and his brother Doug Hollinger (Paula) of Schleswig, IA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Interment Ridgewood Cemetery with a lunch following at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. The family will direct memorial contributions.
