He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Plak and Jane Plak (Stabler); and his son Michael. He is survived by: his daughter Michelle Mary Plak; his brothers, Jim Plak (Cheryl) and Jerry Plak; his grandchildren, Michelle Mary Jr. Riley, Stephanie Walker (Brandon), Jacob Pruitt and Jessica Pruitt; and his great grandchildren, Michelle Mary III, Riley, Adrianna Walker and Madeline Riley.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery (14250 Schram Rd, Omaha, NE 68138).
