He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his children, Josh, Julie and Jay (Katrina); his stepsons, Daniel (Sara) and Mitchell Raznick; his grandchildren, William, Haley, Vivian and Parker; his stepgrandchildren, Cooper and Lila; and his brother Howard (Susan).

“My deepest sympathies to the Katelman Family. I met John many years ago when we became fraternity brothers at the SAM House in Lincoln, NE. We lost contact after that until John & Jeanne moved to Ft. Meyers, FL. I was retired in Sarasota, FL at that time. We reconnected then and would get together for lunches at a restaurant overlooking the Gulf. We not only would reminisce, but update one another on our lives, current events, and anything else of interest. I will deeply miss him. Bill Alloy”
