It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Judy Castillo (Council Bluffs, Iowa), born in Creston, Iowa, who passed away on November 30, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Peterson and Perle Peterson; her husband Richard James Castillo; her brothers, Donald Edward (Eddie) and Larry Gene; her parents-in-law, James and Velda Castillo (Goldsmith); her siblings-in-law, Dean Carothers, Robert Cooper and Connie Castillo; and her nephew Eric Castillo.

She is survived by: her daughters, Robyn Robinson (John) of Arizona and Brenda (Sean Ford) of Papillion, Nebraska; her granddaughters, Kristyn and Brittany Robinson of Arizona; her sisters, Janice Cooper and Esta Marie DuVal (Bruce); and her siblings-in-law, Dianne Peterson, Donna Carothers, Robert Castillo and Larry Castillo. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
