He was predeceased by : his grandparents, Leonard, Lois Wunschel, Albert and Marie Dirks; and his stepgrandfather Simon DeBoom.

He is survived by : his parents, Stan Dirks and Linda Dirks; and his brother Ryan Dirks. He is also survived by many aunts; uncles; and cousins.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, April 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).
