He is survived by : his father Fred Ring; his wife Sandra Ring; his daughter Lindsey Ring; his siblings, Jeff Ring (Marlene), Karlene Schultz (Bill), Greg Ring (Diana), Jennifer Smith (Fred), Becky Ring and Ralph Ring (Rena); his mother-in-law Madonna Kramer; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Leinen, Connie Kramer, Rick Kramer (Karla), Kathy Huntington (Dave), Deb Heller (Larry) and Lori Svagera (Tom). He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Wabash Trace Nature Trail.
