He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wright and Elizabeth Wright (Seeger); and his sister Rosalie Wright. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Wright; his daughters, Julia Lynn Moats (Jeff) and Linda Perkins; his siblings, Alan Wright (Janaan) and Carolyn Herkstroeter; his grandchildren, Dustin Perkins (Zacheli), Andrew Moats (Alexa), Caleb Moats (Kennedi), Danna Tschauner (Kevin), Dylan Perkins (Ashley) and Bailey Moats; and his great grandchildren, Everly Tschauner, Marilyn Tschauner and Theodore "Teddy" Moats.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Council Bluffs Optimist Foundation.
