With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Lou Dofner (Council Bluffs, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Preston Mace and Elva Mace (Gray); her husband Emmett Dofner, Jr.; and her brothers, Gary Weaver and Leo Mace.
She is survived by: her children, Danelle Schmielau (Clinton) of Treynor, IA and Andrew Dofner of McClelland, IA; her grandchildren, Trent Watson, Dylan Schmielau and Katie White (Caleb); her great grandchildren, Treydon Watson, Nora White and Callie White; and her sister Dixie Foote (Kenny) of Bentley, IA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
The family will direct memorial contributions.
