He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Porter and Lucille Porter (Hays); his siblings, Larry Porter, Bill Porter and Rebecca Porter; and his nephew Stan Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Laura Porter; his daughter Sarah; his son-in-law Rob Meyers; his brother Tim Porter (Kay); his sisters-in-law, Ruth Porter and Jackie Porter; his grandchildren, Anya Meyers and Andy Meyers; and his great grandchild Tasha Malone. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501).
