He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew E. Ring and Dorothy M. Ring (McCurdy); his siblings, Joseph, Mary, Gene and Tom; his girlfriend Esther Nelson; his grandsons, Kevin Nelson and Jeff Nelson; Jeff Nelson and David Nelson (family: Mick Nelson, Justin Nelson).
He is survived by: his sister Susan K. Jarosz (John); his sisters-in-law, Jacqueline Ring and Susan Ring; his close friend Laura Ronfeldt; Steve Nelson. He is also survived by family, Mick Nelson and family.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Neola (22163 Sumac Rd, Neola, IA 51559). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Carson Cemetery.
