He was predeceased by: his father Liberty Rocha; and his parents-in-law, Betty and Don O'Dell. He is survived by: his wife Carline O'Dell of Macedonia; his children, Edward Rocha (Jessica) and Kristie Reel (Mike); his stepsons, John Tomford (Melissa) of Hitchcock and Dan Tomford (Kristie); his grandchildren, Ian, Sebastian, Grayson Rocha of Omaha, Kody Stowell (Madelyn), Seth and Ryan Tomford of Macedonia; and his great grandchild Kallum Stowell.

In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to Promise 4 Paws c/o Cathy Graeve, 1027 So. 3rd St., Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503.
