It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard E. Gotschall of Council Bluffs, Iowa, born in Clarinda, Iowa, who passed away on April 5, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Irvie Gotschall and Olga Gotschall (Hunt); his former life partner Candace Gotschall (Peterson); and his brother Roger Gotschall. He is survived by : his wife Ruth Gotschall (Graybill) of Council Bluffs, Iowa; his son Matthew (Kate Gotschall); his grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Gotschall of Cave Creek, Arizona; his son Mitchell Gotschall (Carrie Gotschall); his grandchildren, Carter, Penelope and Mila Gotschall of Oakdale, Minnesota; his brother Randy (Kim Gotschall) of Braddyville; his nephew Eric Gotschall of Overland Park; his niece Beth Gotschall; his sister-in-law Ruthanne Gotschall of Shenandoah, Iowa; his nephew Adam (Cara Gotschall) of Bennington; his great-nephew William; his niece Sara Gotschall of Omaha; and also, Ari of Shambaugh, Iowa and Adalyssa.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 24th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Open House.
