He was predeceased by: his parents, Detlef Mathiesen and Margaret Mathiesen (Nagel). He is survived by: his wife Marlene Mathiesen; his children, Tammy Grimm (Todd) and Mark Mathiesen of Council Bluffs; and his sister Sara Jorgensen of Huron, SD. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
