He was predeceased by: his father James Combs; his brothers, Randell and Patrick Combs (Jo); his brothers-in-law, Roger Morrison and Paul Hurley; and his parents-in-law, Mel and Helen Hurley.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Combs; his wife Peggy Combs (Hurley) of Council Bluffs; his children, Angela Chapman (Brad) of Virginia, Echo Combs (John) and Brad Combs of Malvern, Iowa.; his sister Shawne Combs of Stuart, Iowa.; and his granddaughters, Erica Chapman of Virginia and Sawyer Allen of Des Moines, Iowa.. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made in Ron's memory to the Iowa Children's Hospital in Iowa City.
