With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Petry (Council Bluffs, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 18, 2025 at the age of 88. Though Rose may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rose touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Perry Watkins and Rosetta Watkins (Stevens); her husband Bob Petry; her stepson Bobby Petry; and her brothers, Perry Watkins and Henry Watkins.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Petry (Marie), James Petry (Jessica) and Jerry Petry; and her sister Anna Skokan. She is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
