She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Daughenbaugh of Des Moines; her parents, Marie Bell Kalkas (Kalkas) and Harvey Carlos Smith; her siblings, Richard Smith, Alice Drago, Dorothy Ward, Charles Smith (Bud) and Leland Smith (Swede); and her niece Chris Turnbull.
She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Foster (Mike) of Shenandoah; her grandchildren, Brice Reed of Council Bluffs, Kenton Schooling (Tiffany) of Council Bluffs, Whisper Ford (Steven) of Shenandoah and Torry Brown of Shenandoah; her great grandchildren, Kaiden Schooling of Tessie Wilson, CJ Wood, Karter Schooling, Kinnick Schooling, Calista Ford, Spencer Ford and Logan Ford; and her brother Leroy Smith of Red Oak. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
