Simon Ridder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Simon Ridder in Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Simon departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Simon. Though Simon may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ridder and Ruth Ridder; his wife Darlene Ecker; his siblings, Ollie Ridder and James Ridder; and his niece Sylvia Ridder.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Johnston, Naomi Ridder, Paul Ridder, Dave Ridder and Pete Ridder. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Eastern Hills Baptist Church (16996 State Orchard Rd, Council Bluffs, IA 51503).
