He was predeceased by: his parents, John Linkletter and Gertrude Linkletter; his brothers, Duane and Lloyd; and his siblings-in-law, Miriam Linkletter, Richard Hemmingsen and Wendell Hemmingsen.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hemmingsen; his sons, Brett Linkletter and David Linkletter (Theresa); his grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Nina and Lauren Linkletter; his sister Carolyn; and his siblings-in-law, Fredric Martens, Roger Hemmingsen, Reid Hemmingsen, Janice and Dale Ward. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Cedar Lawn Cemetery (1350 E Pierce St, Council Bluffs, IA 51503).
