He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Ollie Stuart and Lena (Page) Stuart; wife: Leona (Clausen) Stuart; sisters: Arlene Bowman and Dorothy Stuart; children: Jeanne (Bill) Mudge, Judy (Dean) Heiman, and Steve (Amy) Stuart; grandchildren: Vern Lustgraaf (Kelly), Jamie (Billy) Athay, Josh (Lindsay) Pettit, Stacie (Scott) Rinderknecht, Ryan (Caitlin) Lustgraaf, Emily Stuart, Nathan (Kātlynn) Stuart, Kelly (Micky) Mudge, Amy (Bob) Larson, Val Tomair, and Shelly Austin; great grandson: Dillion Lustgraaf; grandson: Joel Heiman; niece: Kathleen (Scott) Wallin; brother and sister-in-laws: Glen Clausen (Katie Galvin) and Linda (Kenny) Chollett; other: Don Thompson and Ron Dirks; and many great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, other family, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home (1221 N 16th St, Council Bluffs, IA 51501). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
