She was predeceased by: her parents, Hulet Smith and Lena Smith; her husband Farrell J. Barnes; and her son Bradford Barnes. She is survived by: her sister Vava; and her children, Jacquelyn Skipton (David), Christy Allen (Larry), Andrew Barnes (Colleen), Tracy Barnes (Kamryn) and Scott Barnes (Angela). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503).
