It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Valora L. Nelson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Anthony Loparco and Wanda Loparco (Land); and her husband Clarence "Sonny" Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Madsen, Christopher Madsen, Jennifer Pitcher, Tina Polly and Gina Hernandes; and her siblings, Virginia, Joelle, Tonette, Teresa, Gary, Joey and David. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home & Crematory (545 Willow Ave, Council Bluffs, IA 51503). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
