She was predeceased by : her parents, Anton (Tom) and Margaret Shimak (Morgan); her husband Donald Fred Long; her son Dennis Long; her grandson Scott Watson; and her sisters, Helen Wagner, Emma Gathman and Bessie Ruess.

She is survived by : her children, Marlene Watson (Larry), Delbert Long of Crawfordsville and Craig Long (Lynda) of Omaha; her daughter-in-law Mandy Metcalf of Sanibel; and her sister Louise Harter of Burlington. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
