He was predeceased by: his father Jack Handgartner; his stepfather Duane Leuenberger; his sister Sally Noland; his grandparents, Carlton Jones and Helen Jones; his nephew Jordan Exey; and his brother-in-law Karl Shatek.
He is survived by: his mother Connie Handgartner (Jones) of Decorah, IA; his grandchildren, Lane Marlow, Blake, Paisley Frana, Myah, Rynlea Dvorak and Charlotte Fotheringham; his siblings, Madonna DeKam (Daryl) of Castlewood, SD and John Mickey (Dawn) of Castlewood, SD; his siblings' children, Khrista Linnevold (Murray), Kerry Ehlers (Craig), Mindy Haugenoe (Nathan), Melissa Sears (Steve), Jonas Exey (Shaina), Jerrid Exey, Hannah Mickey and James Mickey; his in-laws, John and Margaret Shatek of Elma, IA; and his brother-in-law Kyle Shatek (Fawn) of Anamosa, IA. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial donations in Bob's memory may be made to the groups he attended in Alcoholics Anonymous of Waukon, IA.
