She is survived by : her children, Constance Schmitt Newgard of Carlsbad, CA, Chuck Schmitt (Denise) of Coon Valley, WI, Cathy Tuttle (Jeff) of Glenwood Springs, CO, Carol Schmitt of McKinleyville, CA and Christina Schmitt (Bobby King) of Minneapolis, MN.; her grandchildren, Katie (Justin), Liz Newgard (Ryn), Taylor Willis (Cody), Travis Schmitt, Jessica Tuttle (Kyah), Nathan Schmitt and Violet King; her great grandchildren, Lily and Easton; and her siblings, Richard Jirak (Joyce) and Dorothy O'Brien (Charlie).

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Notre Dame Catholic Church (116 3rd St E, Cresco, IA 52136). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A rosary was held on Saturday, May 11th 2024 at 9:20 PM at the same location.
