It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Curtis of Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on March 15, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl C. Curtis and Ellen E. Curtis (Stopperan); and his son-in-law Kenneth Stone. He is survived by: his wife Joan E. Armstrong (Houdek); his children, Kendall J. Curtis (Maureen), Darla J. Stone, Bradley C. Curtis (Debra), Darren W. Armstrong (Tracey) and Chad Earl Curtis (Kristie); his grandchildren, Rachel Templeton (Jarod), Rory Curtis (K. B.), Mitchell Curtis (Haley), Morgan Newsom (Derek), Kyler Curtis and Charley Sue Curtis; his sister Elaine Steffen (Gerry); and his brothers-in-law, Lynus and Butch Houdek (Lavada). He is also survived by three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kendallville-Eddy Cemetery or HOCA (Howard County Cancer Association).
