We are sad to announce that on April 27, 2023, at the age of 95, Dorothy M Schmauss of Cresco, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Edward Gerber and Marie Gerber (Benson); her husband Arnold Schmauss; her son James Schmauss; her brothers, Elmer and Elvin Gerber; and her close friend Sparky.

She is survived by : her daughters, Janice Hassman (Kevin) of New Hampton, IA and Arnella Butterfield (Mark) of Cresco, IA; her grandchildren, Katie Boehmer (Andy), Ben Hassman, Jessica Bailey (McKinley) and Bryan Butterfield; and her great grandchildren, Braxton, Bryce, Brayden Boehmer and Florencia Maxwell. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Family is requesting in lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Croix Hospice in honor of Dorothy Schmauss.
