He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schacht and Edna Schacht (Rickmann); his wife Carmen Long; and his sister Marjorie. He is survived by: his son Neil Schacht of Cresco; his parents-in-law, Carlos and Dorothy Long; Alma "Al" Long, Greg Long (Kris), Brian Long (Lori), Tom Altman (Colleen), Mike Kos, Gayle Kos, Carlene Altman (Art), Corriene Kos (Larry), Larry Long and Gerald Long.
