Joan Hoppe Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Hoppe of Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on February 8, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernie Good and Nora Good (Olson); her husband Earl Hoppe; her son Gerald; her sister Ellen Halstead; and her siblings-in-law, Linda Hoppe, LaRita Hoppe, LaVene Roberts, Lorrine Wentworth, Eugene Hoppe, Jack Smith and Roger Wentworth.

She is survived by : her children, Loran Hoppe (Diane) of Rochester, MN and Gina Moen (Jeff) of Grimes, IA; her grandchildren, James Hoppe (Cari) of Cresco, Jason Hoppe (Melissa) of Farmington, MN, Kayla Quarders (Jason) of Prairie Farm, WI, Tanya Hoppe (Jayton) of Rochester, MN, Brandon Hoppe (Alyssa) of Jacksonville, NC, Jacob Moen (Brenna) and Rachel Moen of Grimes, IA; her sister Norma Smith of Cresco; and her siblings-in-law, Wayne Halstead of Cresco, LaVonne Fishell (Kenneth) of Cumming, GA and Wayne Roberts of Farmington, MN. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Howard County Community Hospice or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
