She is survived by : her children, Mary Kay Kelly (Joe) of Chester and Chris Barnes of Cresco; her grandson John Patrick Kelly (Marie); her great grandchild John Joseph of Davenport, IA; her granddaughter Caitlin Humienny (Jason); her siblings, Bill Smith (Pat) of Elma, IA, Pat Svestka (Paul) of Cresco, Joe Smith (Jeanne) of Elma, Mary Nehl of Hazelton, IA, Jerry Smith of Elma, Charlene Ryan (Mike) of Hazelton, Betty Jean Sullivan (Mike) of Fairbank, IA, Paula Growden of Hazelton, Mel Smith (Kathy) of Harpers Ferry, IA and Steve Smith (Dina) of Blair, WI; and her siblings-in-law, Norma Smith of Schley, Gene Hosek (Diana) of Lime Springs and Bob Barnes (Carolyn) of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Due to the horrible circumstances during COVID-19, Kay lived with Mary Kay and her husband from July 23, 2020 to January 7, 2021 when she moved back to Evans.
