He was predeceased by: his parents, Beba Bentley (Overstrud) and Lyle Bentley; his wife Alice; his daughter Rebecca Bentley; and his grandparents, Guy and Millie Bentley.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Bentley (Dena), Lori Matter (Lance) and Merlin Jr. Bentley (Sydney); his grandchildren, Erik Bentley Matter, Anna Elise Love (Savon) and Leif William Matter; his great grandchild Zosia Leona Love; and his extended family, Kim Brown, Pamela Brown, William Seelye, Travis Coons and Ryan Gronna.
