Rose Fenske Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rose Fenske of Cresco, Iowa, who passed away on September 27, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Joseph and Elisa Olena Opat (Dybevik); her husband William J Fenske; her sons, Floyd, John and Rick; her son-in-law John McKinley; her granddaughter Sarah Gjere (McKinley); her parents-in-law, Thomas Henry and Ruth Della Fenske; and her siblings, Arthur, Raymond, Frank, William, Mary, Irene and Lillian.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley McKinley, Linda Hovey (Darwin), Betty Lou Leitz (Allen), Dale Fenske (Candy), Barbara Lickteig (Dale), Connie Burnikel (Dale) and Dan Fenske; and her brother Lester Opat. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (920 3rd St E, Cresco, IA 52136). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Howard County Community Hospice, Evans Senior Living Community or the Cresco VFW Auxiliary.
